How much will it cost to have my TV repaired
It's not easy to answer this without opening the TV and seeing what's going on inside. I do offer a FREE (no-obligation) ESTIMATE though.
The MINIMUM charge for a successful repair is £60 plus parts (if you wanted to go ahead), and there's a NO FIX / NO-FEE policy.
My kid threw a toy at the TV and now the picture is messed up
Unfortunately, almost any type of impact damage on a TV screen will be uneconomical to repair. Replacement screen prices almost always far exceed the cost of a new TV. All you can do in this case is claim on your home insurance, or take the TV to a recycling centre.
I don't want to get my TV repaired, will you buy it?
Possibly. As long as the screen isn't damaged, and the TV is less than 8 years old, I might offer to buy the TV for possible refurbishment and sale. Get in touch but please have the model number of the TV handy.
Is there a size limit for the repair service?
Unfortunately, the biggest TV size I can work with is 55 inch. Anything bigger is too difficult for me to safely lug around the workshop on my own
What's the procedure for getting my TV repaired?
Simply drop the TV off to the workshop. I'll carry out an inspection and give an estimate for the work. If you decide you don't want the TV repaired, there's no charge to pay.
Do you offer house calls or collection?
Unfortunately there's only myself in the workshop and I simply don't have enough hours in the day to offer this service. If you can get someone to bring the TV to the workshop though, I'm happy to assist unloading it from your car at this end.
Disclaimer
It’s important to mention, that certain TV repairs - such as backlight replacement - or any other repair that involves removing the LCD screen comes with a risk. TV screens are not designed to be disassembled and rebuilt. The glass is extremely thin and fragile and can easily be broken during the process. Whilst Teletek TV Repair will take every precaution to avoid this happening, we will not be held responsible for any accidental breakages when undertaking these repairs on a customer’s behalf.
